About Aiden

Hey everyone!

I just want to say thank you to everyone for all of your prayers today! Aiden is doing much much better than he was this morning. He is in the PICU at Willis-Knighton Pierremont for constant observation and IV administration. He had a CT scan, X-ray, EEG, and lumbar puncture for spinal fluid done as well as blood and urine tests. His fever went from 104.4 at arrival down, back up, and down to 99.4 this evening. He still has not eaten today and may have to be fed via feeding tube. His is responsive but very lethargic and somewhat sedated. We are awaiting results from all of the tests because he had a prolonged seizure this morning and the cause is still unknown. Also, we are unaware of the reason for the convulsions that last about an hour to an hour and half this morning. The doctor believes that it is viral which is good or bad depending on what it is. It means there isn't bacteria multiplying, but if it is something like meningitis, it's hard to get rid of and very dangerous.

Please keep him and my sister and Jake in your prayers! He has been through so much and more than most of us could imagine already and he's only 18 months old. I just want all of you to know that I am so impressed with you and God has blessed us beyond belief with this church family. You all continue to impress me with the way you handle things and she was so touched by the text messages you sent me and all of the prayers and messages on facebook! I bet you never saw Facebook as a blessing before I really think it changed my sister and my mother's view of christians and even Brookwood. They had been scared by a church in the past, but it meant so much to them that you all cared so much for someone that you had briefly or never even really met! I cannot express what it meant to Tiffany! She was in tears reading many of the facebook messages and status changes from you! Thanks so much! We love you all and you mean the world to us!

Love,
Monica

Here is a picture of Aiden that makes me smile so I thought I'd add it!

Pics of the Kids at Kailyn and Mason's B-Day!

I know I am a little behind....but it's been a long week! Here are some pictures from the Luau last weekend! I have more pics also and I will upload them all to facebook later as larger images for all of you to steal, but facebook is being silly right now and won't let me, so here are some of them! I tried to include as many of the kids as I had pictures of! Moms: You will be able to steal them closer to originals quality on facebook! But...here they are for now!

Kailyn being her normal "camera ham" self!

Mason battling the bubbles

Mason driving his Dora car.

Kristyn dressed for the occasion. Look at that grin!

Olivia looks like she is talking about something very important in this picture!

Lexie LOVED the juice box!

I think the car was Evan's favorite part of the party!

These are my favorite pictures from the whole party! The boys Loved those blue cupcakes!

The girls always know when the camera is around!

Jacob enjoying his cake!

Little Josh was a great assistant to Big Josh with the magic tricks! BTW, it's so cute how the hat is too big for him!

Secretly, I think Mason just wanted to wear the hat!

Overwhelmed...to say the least!

OK, so I am terrible at the whole keeping up with the blogging thing! I just might have a good excuse though. Since the last blog post, I have been to NYC for a week, and have been working on my thesis project practically every other second of free time. This project is so much more work than I could have imagined. This 10 minutes I am taking right now to type a little note is simply for my sanity and nothing else really.

I am learning a lot of interesting information, and I really did LOVE school and my time in college. However, I am at the age now that I ready to be done with school and move on with my life. This makes ALMOST 20 YEARS of school. That means that 20 years of my life practically have been spent on my education. If things go according to plan, I should have my Master's degree by Thanksgiving and I will be done with school forever!

I admire Josh so much for this because he is going BACK to school after being away from it and also he works so hard at his job. He is such an overachiever and so organized with his schoolwork! He has a 4.0.....of course and will do whatever it takes to ensure that his schoolwork is top quality!

If anyone reads this, I just ask that you pray for me and for Josh! We are both in school full-time and over our heads plus we both work 40 hours a week at least! If you haven't done this before, it's tough trust me! Pray that God keeps our priorities straight and that we are able to continue being there for each other and remembering to take time for us! So, far that has been ok. We make sure that dinner time is a sitting down at a table event and we don't do any work during that time. Also, because Northwestern is across the road from my work, we do get to sneak away for lunch now and then too.

Well, I promise that my future posts will be if nothing else easier to read and more exciting than this one. I just needed to write about something other than my school stuff!

More Gameday Fun!

So, it wouldn't be the Tigers (the real ones from LSU, I mean) if we weren't on the edge of our seats. The game was awesome and went down to the last minute. Here are a few pics of what happened at Mom's house during the game! We are making sure that EVERYONE in the family is a Tigers Fan!..................Just the way it should be!

When Aiden is around, he's always the center of attention! Jett always run a very close 2nd place though!

Like Knights of Old, We fight to hold...the glory of the Purple Gold..............Geaux Tigers!

So, it's Saturday, which means it's GAMEDAY! Sadly, I will be watching LSU beat Auburn from my couch. Well, actually from my mom's couch. We will be watching the game over there today! Here is a pic that I stole from Emily from the last game in Tiger Stadium. (LSU vs. N. Texas).

For our Saturday events prior to the game......we plan to do nothing! We always have so many weekend plans, but not TODAY! I have leaving for New York on Wednesday and I just want to chill out until then. I have finished packing most of the stuff, which is so not like me! Normally, I wait until the very last minute, but not this time because you can't run to Wal-mart to get what you forgot in New York City!

OK, I SURRENDER!

Alright, so I finally gave in and now we have a blog like the rest of the world! I decided to start "blogging" to allow friends and family that we don't get to see very often to see what's going on in our lives. Since, I'm pretty bad at calling and keeping in touch sometimes.

Josh and I are doing great! We are very busy with both of us working and in school now! I will be done with Grad School at the end of the year, and Josh is in nursing school at Northwestern full swing now.

Coming up for us: On Wednesday, Emily, her mom, her aunt Jan, and I are leaving for New York for a girl vacation! Josh is stuck here for school, but him and Peenie (my sister Alicia for those of you who don't know who I am talking about) are going to the Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift concert while I'm gone. I'm sure Josh will be a slave to his textbooks while I am gone as well!

Look for more info on our life here! Let's see if I can keep up and post regularly!
